A KALTBLUT exclusive editorial. Photographer Valentin Fabre teamed up with Stylist & Art director Tahi Guy Roland to create this editorial about the famous ballroom scene in Paris. The story is about 3 transgender from the Paris Ballroom scene: Gigi, Alaia & Claude. (dancers of voguing). New Angels, Hi Charlie! was shoot in the club called Folies Pigalle where it all began. Set Design and second stylist is Kyo Jino, Make up & Nails by Korleon Glow and Hair by Kemo Hair Control.

How old were you when you first started questioning your gender identity?
Since childwood, I have never understood this binary identity, so I always considered myself as a girl even some of my body parts weren’t.
Do you feel like people interact with you differently now, in 2017?
My passing is good , but I don’t feel myself Real enough , I wish for 2018 to be “unlokable, but actually in the streets I am seen as a woman, and I am a woman.
Has the ballroom scene been supportive ?
I am a person who doesn’t trust herself , the ballroom scene taught me to be more confident.

I’m from the exclusive House of Balenciaga.
Which category are you walking ?
I’m walking Fem queen performance , and I slay my category.
How old were you when you first started questioning your gender identity?
It really started the last 2 years …
Do you feel like people interact with you differently now, in 2017?
I don’t care, I’m proud of who I am, every single day. This is just the beginning.
Has the ballroom scene been supportive?
The ballroom scene helps me so much. I am really shy in the real life, but when I’m on the floor I’m an other woman.

I never questionned myself about it , I always knew who I was. I can’t explain.
Do you feel like people interact with you differently now, in 2017?
In 2017 I don’t really care about people’s opinion, I’m being me no matter what.
Has the ballroom scene been supportive?
I wasn’t really waiting a support from the ballroom scene but some of them has been showing me mad love and support so I am very thankful .
