Let´s start the day with some new fresh sound from Denmark! HÔN reveals the music video for “Honeydream”, directed by Kasper Skovbøl and featuring acclaimed Danish actress Hanne Uldal and HÔN himself as the lead parts. HÔN is Jesper Lidang (singer and songwriter in The Rumour Said Fire).
Honeydream is about how lost you can feel sometimes when you’re in a state between loving or leaving someone, holding on by a thread. We wanted the video to be a very personal but silent conversation between me and this woman watching me perform, whom I don’t know, but somehow connect to

HÔN is a pop mashup; it’s Jesper’s exploration of the harmonious & eloquent vs the raw & edgy in the same musical movement. The songwriting in “Honeydream” shows the key talents of Jesper Lidang: An extremely melodic and catchy melancholic chorus surrounded by the beat driven verse.
Another signature element of HÔN is the use drum machines from the 80s (for example, Roland TR-808 as we know from Kraftwerk, Talking Head, Kanye West and OBERHEIM DMX known from New Orders smash hit ‘Blue Monday’). All songs are recorded and sung by Jesper alone. Nis Bysted (producer of Iceage, Cancer, Lower, and Liss) has produced and mixed HÔN together with Jesper and the result is a powerful signature-sound where you can either plunge into the musical deep or let your body move to the music – or do both.
