Having recently unveiled new solo Ibiza residency, ‘We Are The Night’, Nic Fanciulli presents his latest remix – a rework of Jamie XX’s ‘SeeSaw’ ft. Romy, which is out now via his Saved Records imprint. A memorable track from Jamie XX’s 2014 album, ‘In Colour’, ‘See Saw’ sees Nic explore new club territory – and his twisting, peak-time grooves lends themselves perfectly to the quiet, hazy melancholy of the original mix. Leading with echoing, percussive claps, Nic’s mix revolves around a low, rolling bassline that immediately takes things deeper and darker, embedding Romy’s distant, glazed vocals within an intricate percussive framework. Building over eight and a half pulsating minutes, it feels like the perfect record to kickstart Nic’s hectic summer schedule, and is sure to earn plenty of rotation throughout the Ibiza season.
