Following Onelight’s sophomore LP (supported by Complex UK, Dazed, NPR) named “RnB album of the year” by French mag Tsugi, Parisian artist Onelight is back with new single ‘Feel Like God’ featuring the UK singer and Girl Unit collaborator Brook Baili. The song is a blend of Electro R’n’B and Hyperpop, In between influences like Flume, SOPHIE, Mura Masa & Jimmy Edgar. ‘Feel Like God’ is a futuristic and innovative love tune that explores the paradoxes associated with relationships, love and their boundaries – all captured from the kaleidoscopic lens of Onelight’s multidimensional sound.
‘Feel Like God’ will be included as part of an LP released later this year that will focus heavily on collaboration; bringing together a wide range of multidisciplinary artists from June Fermie, the close collaborator of Benny Sings, Jay Cue (the brother of Mykki Blanco), Yuneer Gainz, Memphis MC Daz Rinko and rising RnB stars Tristan Price, Georgia Starnes and Son Person.
Onelight started his career as a DJ when he was 18. After playing alongside artists like Jimmy Edgar, SOPHIE, Machinedrum, Kaytranada, Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Justin Martin or Para One, he decided to make his first step into music production in 2016 with the EP TUGGSPEEDMAN, released on French label Musique Large.
This first EP garnered support from Busy P, Gilb’R, Machinedrum and Teki Latex. While working in the Fashion Industry for brands like Wood Wood and Comme Des Garçons, he decided to focus all his energy on music after a serious health issue in 2016. Gathering the money left from his barmitzvah, he released his second EP SILVER, including a major collaboration with Californian legend Egyptian Lover.
Following Onelight’s idea of creating a sound that fuses his influences from 80’s funk to electronica and polished modern R’n’B, he is set to release his first LP named VANDERLAY via Pschent Music in 2018 including vocal features from Benny Sings, Alexandria and Rome Fortune
