This is the first collaboration between Irish designer Conaill O’Dwyer and Irish photographer Declan Kelly. This shoot explores ideas of gay identity and masculinity in the backdrop of a rough Irish landscape. The contrast of the vibrant clothing and a rugged Irish landscape conveys a mans struggle with his bond to the place he has grown up in, where he belongs and who he really is. Conaill is a fashion designer based in London who is exploring societies views on gay identity and masculinity and carving out collections that work to change those views and add another layer to this idea.
