A KALTBLUT exclusive editorial. Photography and creative direction by Patrizia Zontini. The model is Agata Dalla Longa. Makeup by Miriam Visciano. The Geometry of Control. Set within the rationalist architecture of Tresigallo (Ferrara, Italy), “Perfect Illusion” explores the body as a constructed image – shaped, restrained, and distorted by systems of perfection and control.
Rigid facades, empty spaces, and precise geometries become psychological structures where identity begins to fracture. Through tension, repetition, and performative gestures, the subject moves between visibility and disappearance, elegance and discomfort.
Transparent fabric obscures the face like a second skin, transforming beauty into something unstable and almost unrecognisable. The body no longer exists freely within the space, but becomes part of its architecture: composed, disciplined, and silently consumed by it. Blending fashion imagery with visual narrative, “Perfect Illusion” reflects on the pressure of maintaining an idealised self – and the quiet collapse hidden beneath its surface.
