We’re thrilled to unveil Ixa’s electrifying track “Wanna Be (Broken Doll)” from the highly anticipated Eternal Volume 1 compilation by Exude Records, set for release on November 21st. This Berlin-Philadelphia artist masterfully intertwines themes of grief and strife with infectious exuberance on this irreverent electro hit. Through her lyrics—touching on topics from loss and surgeries to sugar daddies and self-acceptance—Ixa delivers a powerful message over a disarmingly catchy beat that’s impossible not to dance to.
Trying to fit in and find acceptance as a marginalized individual can be dangerous and self destructive so supposedly safe spaces offer the same toxic, problematic dynamics that they should provide refuge from.
Eternal Volume 1, a vibrant V/A compilation featuring trans* producers from across the globe, will be released on November 21st, 2025—one day after the annual Trans Day of Remembrance. Proceeds from the album will be allocated to the mutual aid organisation Casa T Lisboa, the contributing artists, and the trans-run label Exude Records.
This compilation marks the first instalment in a series of sonic love letters dedicated to the trans community, offering a panoramic view of their experiences. It employs unique lingo, highlights challenges, and captures moments of joy, making a bold statement to assert that trans people exist beyond historical narratives—their message is clear: “We have always been here and will never be erased.”
Eternal is raw and unapologetically queer, showcasing the trans experience through an unfiltered lens as it presents itself to the world. There’s no handholding for outsiders—it’s an intimate peek into a sanctuary crafted by a community that knows its worth.
As fascism looms worldwide, threatening to erase trans identities, the existence of trans individuals becomes an act of resistance. This existence transcends mere visibility and representation; it’s about access to gender-affirming healthcare, housing, employment, and the right to live without fear. Eternal tackles these vital issues while playfully utilising club music tropes to create addictive tracks with an innovative twist. It fluidly navigates a spectrum of genres while maintaining its techno-leaning essence.
Ultimately, Eternal stands as a testament to the rich diversity and vibrant creativity of the trans community during a time when both their art and existence are under threat. This compilation is a reminder for trans individuals everywhere: you are not alone, and your lives are invaluable.
