British singer Jacobs Morgan has shared his latest Double A Side Release “Casual Catharsis”. Following up on his self-titled EP last year, Casual Catharsis marks a shift for the London-based artist to euphoric electro-pop in a time of darkness. A collab with fellow queer London artist Lostchild, this double A-side has a heavier focus on vocal production and is referential to a very current queer pop moment.
Morgan recorded “Casual Catharsis” in the summer of 2022. “This track lands on 20th January as a salve to the winter and precursor to the joy of the incoming spring,” he says. “My songs come quite instinctually – usually as an immediate response to a moment of intense emotion. Once the lyrics are written, they very rarely change, almost acting as a time capsule to a moment frozen in time. My frequent collaborator Lostchild baked them into a sound which elevated them immensely.”
