Press Play: Adam Noviello – Satan’s Filing My Nails (feat. LYNDON)

iTunesc chart topper Adam Noviello teams up with musical theatre, and fashion star LYNDON (Hamilton the Musical) for ferocious new single ‘Satan’s Filing My Nails’. The track comes off the back of their packed out live Midsumma Carnival performance which gave punters the opportunity to see Adam’s electrifying performance in real life. The punchy reggae-inspired pop song about cutting ties with toxic people and relationships was first released on Adam Noviello’s debut EP ‘Tears Drugs and Voicemails’.

“I was mid-performance of a musical when the idea for ‘Satan’s Filing my Nails’ came to me! I was appearing in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Naarm (Melbourne), and my relationship with my manager at the time was becoming unfortunately negative. My contract with the show was nearing its end, and I suddenly began to fantasise about what my life would look like when the show had closed and I was maybe free of my oppressive management. In the middle of Act 1, I marched up to the rehearsal room, sat at the piano, and wrote the song. It just poured out of me. I pictured my life, my attitude, my clothes, my hair, my art and my existence how I desired. How I TRULY desired. It looked fierce. It looked fabulous. It looked free!”

Following the success of Adam’s debut single, HERETIC, which saw the artist topping the Australian iTunes Dance Chart in January 2022 and seeing support from global stars, Natalie Bassingthwaite and Sean Miley Moore, the artist released their second successful single ‘Another You’ before launching their debut EP ‘Tears Drugs and Voicemails’. Wanting to release one more track from the EP, Adam Noviello worked with close friend LYNDON to reimagine one of the verses on the track.

Most will know LYNDON for his theatre work having played Aaron Burr in Hamilton, which saw him receive the Judith Johnson Award for Best Performance in a Leading Role in a Musical.

“Having both originated from the world of musical theatre, LYNDON and I have been friends for years. He is a phenomenal artist and person. His unabashed belief in his creative self should inspire us all. LYNDON is Trinidadian/Australian, so he was drawn to the song’s reggae influence, and he leaned into it when he wrote his verse.”

The single is set to be released through Global League Records on February 1st. To bring it to life Adam Noviello and LYNDON worked together to create the visual world through their music video filmed by Shotography. The clip brings you into the multidisciplinary avant garde world that is Adam Noviello. Showing off Adam’s gender fluid style with a sharp edge brought by LYNDON.

Satan’s Filing My Nails is the musical tonic for anyone needing the inspiration to say ‘farewell’ to poisonous people.
