With the launch of his debut record label, Stemina Recordings, set for 2022, Kasztan is thrilled to announce his highly anticipated ‘Air Mass’ EP, accompanied by the release of the mesmerizing lead single, ‘Water Soldier’.
Scheduled for release on September 22, ‘Air Mass’ showcases Kasztan’s exceptional ability to merge genres and push artistic boundaries. As his first original extended player under Stemina Recordings, the EP follows the success of his previous singles ‘Working Together’ and ‘Mzella’, as well as his collaborative efforts with Felower and HAELIUM.
Undoubtedly, the standout track on the EP is the genre-bending masterpiece, ‘Water Soldier’. Combining elements of bass, garage, and experimental electronica, wrapped in a captivating pop format, the song showcases Kasztan’s versatility and artistic depth. With the addition of the enchanting vocals of Dahlie, a highly-regarded neo-soul singer, ‘Water Soldier’ adds an emotional edge to an accessible and thought-provoking production.
Reflecting on the creation of ‘Water Soldier’, Kasztan shared, “I had just completed my EP when I stumbled upon a modular glitch sound in Ableton. It immediately inspired me to create a track that would be more urban and less grandiose than my usual style. Through my manager, who co-runs Stemina Recordings with me, I was introduced to the incredible talent of neo-soul singer Dahlie. Within a week, we had wrapped up the song, creating a powerful synergy that made it one of the EP’s main tracks.”
Dahlie herself added, “Water Soldier is an embodiment of the warrior within all of us. It represents resilience and the ability to flourish even in the face of adversity. It symbolizes accepting the cyclic nature of life, embracing aging, death, transformation, and the flowing movement of existence.”
