Press Play: Moglebaum – ‘Slow Love’

After Moglebaum’s year-long hiatus, while their bandleader Moglii released acclaimed solo productions with Majestic Casual, they returned to the spotlight last month with the release of the dreamy single “Echo Of Time”. It is now revealed that this single is part of a full Moglebaum EP, with a second, similarly brilliant single entitled “Slow Love.” “Slow Love” once again capitalizes on Moglebaum’s hip combination of smooth electronic production with live vocals and instruments, this time emphasizing a chiller side to the group’s versatile sound.

Organic-electronic, future-pop Moglebaum is a 5-piece band from Cologne/Duesseldorf, Germany, originally starting some years ago as a one-man-project from the 24-year-old student of music and producer of Moglebaum, Simon Ebener-Holscher (solo aka “Moglii”). Soon after, Franziska Geiß (Vocalist), Alessandro Fama (Co-Production & Samples), Jonas Geyersberger (Saxophone & Loopstation) and Michael Kemkes (Drums) joined the band, allowing for the electronic compositions to join acoustic instrumentals. This mix of genres defines their very unique soundscape and the live-character of Moglebaum, composed of beat-based music and acoustic orchestration. Organic electronic beats, vocal-samples and the sound of analogue synthesizers a la` Flume & James Blake meet soulful vocals, infectious drums and saxophone. Futuristic pop-music with a passion for detail.
