Press Play: Priyanka – Bad Bitches Don’t Cry ft Ralph

Get ready to embark on a thrilling pop journey with Drag Race winner Priyanka as she kicks off a whole new music era. The rising hitmaker burst onto the music scene with her debut EP Taste Test in 2021, amassing over 15M streams for “Come Through (feat. Lemon)” alone and critical praise from Elle, Rolling Stone, and Grammy.com. Now, she’s unveiling the evolution of her epic pop sound with new single, “Bad Bitches Don’t Cry” featuring Canadian pop icon Ralph. The new single is accompanied by a high-fashion high-energy music video as the latest installment of the “Priyanka Cinematic Universe”, packed with exciting new looks, choreography and “main pop girl” energy.

Priyanka joined forces with emerging pop star and JUNO nominee Ralph (Rich Man Records) who she met on Season 1 of Canada’s Drag Race. About Priyanka, Ralph gushes, “I think Pri is an amazing performer and I love that she’s expanding her artistry and taking over the pop music scene. Being a part of that is such an honour, and when she asked me to actually feature on the song we wrote I was like… f–k ya, are you kidding?!!??”

The concept of “Bad Bitches Don’t Cry” was inspired by a scene on reality TV sensation Selling Sunset in which notorious Girlboss villain Christine Quinn wipes her tears after a co-worker reminds her that “bad bitches don’t cry”. This line resonated with Priyanka who recalls when a Grade 9 Guidance Counsellor told her she would never be a star. Priyanka says, “It was traumatizing for 0.2 seconds and then I realized I would never take no for an answer because with hardwork and determination – you’ll never make this bad bitch cry!”

About the iconic line, Ralph chimes in, “To me, it means like…be emotional, feel all your feelings, you’re human. But as a woman, especially in any male dominated industry, you always wanna flex and show your strength and your confidence, even when you feel sad or defeated. Never let them win and never let them break you, because badass bosses don’t cry. “

The music video shines a light on Priyanka’s growth in Pop Music with couture fashion and striking choreography. She will be reunited with the team behind the cinematic universe of Taste Test, longtime collaborators Caroline Torti and Hallowed Grounds Productions.
