Press Play: Rein – ‘C.A.P.I.T.A.L.I.S.M’

Politically-conscious, electronic punk Swedish musician Rein releases her newest single and video, ‘C.A.P.I.T.A.L.I.S.M’, ahead of upcoming sophomore EP ‘FREEDOOM’. The track is an energetic, powerful and raw offering, focused on dissecting what is a flawed capitalist society, all wrapped up in a punk-like attitude. The left-wing anarchist is heavily influenced by the likes of M.I.A, Justice and Atari Teenage Riot, bringing a memorable and aggressive front to the electronic and pop world. Stockholm-based director Patrik Holm directed the single’s official video, which features flashes of iconic and memorable scenes that relate to Rein’s aggressive lyrics.

We must question the monetary system. It is the ultimate culprit for absolutely everything that is happening in our society. Capitalism splits up the winners and losers and turns humanity into figures on a balance sheet.

Taken from the upcoming EP “Freedoom”, out May 19th. Pre-order here
