Venezuela-born, Barcelona-based artist Safety Trance (Luis Garban) once again links with fellow Venezuelan global star Arca for the lead single from his ‘Noches de Terror’ EP. The release is joined by a clip directed by Arca and visual artist Unax LaFuente. The two have worked closely together, most recently collaborating on several tracks from Arca’s ‘KiCk’ album series, alongside the likes of Rosalía and Boys Noize. ‘El Alma Que Te Trajo’ is a rugged and potent track with hard-hitting drums next to bright synths providing the perfect soundbite for Arca’s intense vocal offering.
Garban is best known as Cardopusher & has spent the last decade creating noise-driven club disruptions. He began experimenting with mutating a rowdy, old-school reggaeton sound for his new alias Safety Trance, which was the foundation of much of his upbringing in Caracas in the mid to late 90s. With his Noches de Terror EP, Safety Trance brings a whole new world of influence to reggaeton.
