Tamara Qaddoumi, shaped by her Kuwaiti, Palestinian, Lebanese, and Scottish heritage, consciously infuses questions of identity and belonging into her music. Throughout her journey in complex melodic arrangements, the lyrics oscillate between longing and observation. Since 2018, Tamara Qaddoumi has released two EPs and has been featured in Marie Claire, Vogue, and Bazaar. Alongside her band, she regularly graces the stages of Lebanon.
With “Cold In The Mourning,” the second single from her upcoming EP “Sorry Signal,” Tamara Qaddoumi takes the listener on an exploration of the many facets of loss, lost innocence, and the artist’s encounter with the fleeting, evolving nature of loss. Driven by Qaddoumi’s haunting voice and expansive, synth-infused melodies, the track weaves the threads of its touching narrative into a powerful, vibrant reminder of our daily struggle with grief and the experience of living with it and ultimately being changed by it.
