Tarik, the distinguished moderator, entertainer, and singer, is now a musical ambassador for diversity, inclusion, and acceptance. With his unmistakable style, his sense of Zeitgeist, and his commitment to social causes, he champions the values of KALTBLUT. Magazine.
Tarik’s debut single “Halleluja” is now available to stream on all music platforms. The track and its accompanying music video are poised to become the anthem for the Queer-Pop movement and showcase Tarik’s creative liberation.
My first single is for me a moment of total emancipation. I was afraid to make music for a long time. I always let my inner critic grow bigger. But that’s finally over. I take the reins, live my creativity and also say to myself: Hallelujah, you are God!
Pop culture and politics – effortlessly united in one person: Tarik Tesfu. Tarik, who is a television presenter, entertainer, podcaster and has always been a singer, has built a loyal fan base not just because of his unique style, but most importantly, due to his social activism.

Whether he is on TV shows like “Jäger und Sammler” (ZDF), “deep und deutlich” (NDR), “A Glamorous Takeover” (ARD), or his current podcast “Tratsch & Tacheles” with his BFF Hadnet Tesfai, he consistently demonstrates his sense for zeitgeist and progressivism.
With his debut single “Halleluja” Tarik has achieved yet another milestone in his career. And he has done it on time, in June, the Pride month. Tarik surprises with a pop sound that shakes up the mainstream at the level of the lyrics. The song was produced by Jen Bender, Raphael Schalz and Chriz Falk from “Großstadtgeflüster” and one thing is clear: Tarik’s debut is not only an earworm but doubtlessly the Queer-Pop anthem of the year.
If you think “Halleluja” is a parody of the Christian faith, you are definitely on the wrong track. Rather, the song aims to catapult the topics of religiosity and spirituality into the present day and give all people the feeling that they can celebrate their lives in a self-determined and empowering way.
And Tarik takes it up a notch. His EP “Mutterland” will be released later this year, following the motto: Unity and justice and freedom for the queer motherland. Amen!
