Queer Berlin Illustrator Matthias Seifarth launches CocksOccur

Matthias Seifarth’s work holds up a critical mirror to today’s society. Often gracing the pages of DIE ZEIT, Rollingstone, Aftenposten, brandeins & DUMMY Magazine amongst others, his images transfer a disquieting social commentary, dancing on the thin lines between provocation and protest. CELEBRATING THE LAUNCH OF HIS NEW WEBSITE, THE QUEER BERLIN ILLUSTRATOR REVEALS AN EXCLUSIVE RANGE OF HANDPRINTED TEES, COMPLETE WITH COCKY MOTIFS

This December Seifarth is launching Casa Matze, a website featuring selected artworks as large and hand-printed screen prints, available both framed and unframed. To mark the occasion comes CocksOccur; a limited series of teeshirts displaying quirky, cocky motifs. In stark contrast to his often politically charged illustrations, the handprinted, organic tees offer minor respite to an increasingly bleak world. Quite literally, CocksOccur. Seifarth had this to say:

“There is so much negativity in the world, and that can have a big impact on our mental health. For every serious discussion, we should dance in a meadow, run through a cornfield, hug a tree or scream into the void. When we let go the healing begins. I hope these designs lift people up a bit” Matthias Seifarth
