RYTERBAND is a trailblazing composer and producer hailing from the vibrant city of Los Angeles. Since his debut in 2020, he has been making waves with his unique musical style that blends different genres, from soulful acoustic ballads to high-octane house rhythms. With over 7 million plays across various platforms, RYTERBAND has quickly become a household name in the music industry. His music has graced the airwaves of popular radio stations, including BBC Radio, Kiss FM, SiriusXM betaBPM, and Tomorrowland Radio. Additionally, RYTERBAND‘s work has been featured in over 50 TV shows and films, including fan favourites like Euphoria and Brooklyn 99. What sets RYTERBAND apart from other musicians in the industry is his one-of-a-kind approach to music, which is heavily influenced by his decade-long meditation practice.

RYTERBAND‘s newest song, “Lies” is a deeply emotional and introspective song that delves into the complexities of relationships. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a relationship that feels hollow and unfulfilling, as the narrator describes feeling disconnected and distant from their partner even when they’re talking on the phone. This feeling of disconnection is something that many people can relate to, as it’s a common experience in relationships.

Despite the narrator’s feelings of disconnection, they continue the relationship out of fear of being alone. This fear of loneliness is something that many people experience, and it’s a powerful motivator that can keep us in relationships that aren’t fulfilling. The lyrics also touch on the theme of compromise, as the narrator feels like they’re making toxic sacrifices to keep the relationship alive. This is another common experience in relationships, as we often have to make difficult choices and sacrifices to keep them going.

For the music video, RYTERBAND chose to look at his song through a slightly different lens and reinterpret the themes of disillusionment in the light of technology and social media conditioning the sentimental experience in diverse -and often dehumanizing- new ways. RYTERBAND says:

“For the video that accompanies the track, I reimagined “Lies” as the story of a lonely man who falls in love with a camgirl. For her, this is just a job and not a happy one. For him, it’s an unreliable lifeline, simulating connection while he continues to avoid real connection. As his fantasies become more and more outlandish, she becomes more numb. They both descend deeper into loneliness, wishing for something that neither one is actually seeking.”

Overall, “Lies” is a powerful reflection on the complexities of love and relationships. It’s a reminder that relationships are never easy and that we often have to make difficult decisions to keep them alive. The song’s emotional depth and introspective lyrics make it a poignant and relatable piece of music that will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced the ups and downs of a relationship.

With his innovative sound and unique perspective, RYTERBAND is undoubtedly one to watch in the music scene.
