When it comes to the international reputation of Portuguese footwear, few names carry the prestige, architectural precision, and uncompromising craftsmanship of Luís Onofre. Taking to the runway at ModaLisboa, the maestro of Portuguese luxury accessories proved once again why three generations of leatherwork heritage remain an unstoppable creative force.
With our friends at APICCAPS Portugal continually championing the sector’s innovative spirit and artisanal power on the global stage, witnessing Onofre’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection firsthand felt like a masterclass in how generational savoir-faire meets forward-looking design.

Titled CHROMATIC TENSION, the SS27 presentation is an explosive study of contrast, tone, and pure structural elegance. Electric blues, searing neon turquoise, and luminous sunny yellows clash and harmonize against deep wine reds, vivid oranges, and the sharp graphic purity of monochrome black and white.
Moving effortlessly from sculpted daytime flats to razor-sharp 10 cm slim-back stilettos, sleek mules, reworked loafers, and barely-there strappy sandals, the collection celebrates a multifaceted, powerful femininity. Reworked 1980s architectural heels take on fresh, ergonomic proportions—proving that towering visual drama and wearable comfort can coexist seamlessly.

Beyond the electric palette and sculptural silhouettes, what anchors Luís Onofre’s enduring luxury is a fierce dedication to technical innovation. Manufactured in Portugal under rigorous artisanal standards, the atelier continues to integrate recycled elements and bio-based solutions into its production methods, keeping ancestral craft in perpetual dialogue with sustainable progress.
