The moment was mine – now it`s ours: Share your world with the community! Besides well-known sights, everyone has a favourite place with a personal connection in their city. To get to know these places, photography fans from Munich, Hamburg and Berlin came together to learn from each other. SanDisk organized the #shareyourcity instawalk together with local Instagram communities and amateur photographers.
Munich, Berlin and Hamburg have so much to offer that it is impossible to know all the beautiful places. Therefore, Instagrammers were asked to come together and to share their favourite places in Munich, Hamburg and Berlin with the group. In addition to the new photo opportunities, it was very exciting to find out what makes the places so special for the individual.
BERLIN
On a chilly Saturday morning, our tour started at the Charlottenburg Palace. Although it was a bit too early and cold for us at first, we had a beautiful first stop. During our tour through the park in search of the best photo spots, we learned what makes this place a favourite: Nowhere else in Berlin is the morning as quiet and beautiful as here. Maybe that’s why the “Love Bridge” is so magical to young couples. Later we stopped at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, which was the first thing one of the participants got to experience as the “real” Berlin when she moved to the city. And have you ever looked at the colourful hustle and bustle at Bahnhof Zoo in a free minute? You should, we definitely learned that.
Hamburg

In Hamburg, the walk started at the Außenalster and then on to the Lombard bridge. By the way, this is the first view when you come from Kiel to Hamburg by train. We went on to Planten un Blomen, which is especially good for relaxing in summer. Once across the park, we went on to the Landungsbrücken and the Stintfang. Finally, the group took the S-Bahn to the Altonaer Balkon to end the day with a hot coffee and the exchange of Instagram handles

Munich had dressed up especially well for the InstaWalk event: The group had the pleasure of walking through the snow-covered city centre. The route started at the statue of Julia Capulet at the Old Town Hall, which symbolizes happiness in love. One of the participants connects with the statue especially the #nopag demonstrations of the last year and the fight for our democracy. The next stop was the Viktualienmarkt – the perfect place to find time out, besides all the exotic or home-made delicacies of course. The walk was finished with a stop at the Michael Jackson memorial and at the courtyard garden. According to our insiders, it is particularly suitable for warm summer evenings and playing boules.
Thanks to all the Instagrammers for sharing their insider tips!
