Sonar by Ricarda Funnemann

Ricarda Funnemann is a conceptual photographer from Dortmund. She explores the boundaries between fashion and artistic photography. Driven by the curiosity she is questioning it and fathoms the human psyche. SONAR visualizes a very personal sensation of a young man balancing between past, presence and the liminal space between the worlds. An old abandoned house set in a rural area is the starting point of his transcendental journey.He expresses the inner conflict between boredom and a feeling of a familial tie through ecstatic dance. The story by Ricarda Funnemann and Michael Schwarze plays with jumps in time and changes of perspective from reality to unreality.
