Sound of the Week: HOMALS

After a succession of several singles noticed by renowned artists such as Madeon, San Holo and Arty, to name a few, Existence, the very first EP by HOMALS is now available at Sans Huile de Palme. This project gathers five tracks: ‘Fantasy’, the groovy and colourful single with LYTA, ‘What About Me’, ft. Tim Moyo, that was rewarded by the Spotify Creamy playlist, and ‘Hopeful’, the last instrumental release. ‘Reckless’ and ‘Forget’ are the two newcomers for the release of this EP. If Existence makes us dream, gives us hope but also doubts, the main theme is time passing – and not waiting. “Men die and time wins”. The EP takes us to a universe where poetic, groovy and rhythmic melodies are stirred together. A subtle mix to dance and escape to.

Born in the southwest of France, HOMALS is a young electronic music producer with multiple influences: Flume, Mura Masa, Tennyson, and Machinedrum to name but a few. These many inspirations allowed him to build a unique musical style between pixie-like melodies and futuristic textures.
