ARTCO Gallery Presents: A Dynamic Group Exhibition! Join ARTCO Gallery in Berlin from August 5th to September 2nd, 2023, for an exciting group show featuring a diverse range of artists including Christian August, Bea Bonafini, Susanne Bonowicz, Jenny Brosinski, Julien Deiss, Johanna Dumet, Janes Haid-Schmallenberg, Atusa Jatari, Aneta Kajzer, Benni Kakert, Moritz Lindur, Timur Lukas, Rebekka Macht, Anna Nero, Laura Sachs, Selassie, Gemma Solà Sotos, Tom Solty, Fabian Treiber, Theresa Volpp, Marta Vovk, and Fabian Warnsing. The exhibition, curated by the talented Malte Bülskämper, will showcase the works of these artists and spark an engaging discourse.

STUDIO TALKS, initiated by Malte Bülskämper in the summer of 2018, has provided insights into the world of contemporary painting through interviews and studio visits. Over the past five years, Bülskämper has embarked on an exciting journey, exploring different developments in painting. The group exhibition at ARTCO Gallery serves as a platform for all participating artists to engage in a captivating discussion, emphasizing their unique perspectives and artistic variety.

STUDIO TALKS believes that the best way to approach art is through dialogue. By engaging in conversations with artists, we not only learn about their creative processes but also gain valuable insights into ourselves and the current era. The majority of the selected international artists live and work in Berlin, offering a fascinating glimpse into the current state of young painting. Their diverse positions and exploration of contemporary themes and issues demonstrate the evolving nature of painting and its relevance in our increasingly digital world.

This exhibition invites us all to rediscover the power of painting and to embrace the unfamiliar, just as we would during an enriching studio visit. In conjunction with the group exhibition, all 24 interviews from the Studio Talks series, along with bonus material, will be published as a book.
