Tove Lo releases short film ‘Fairy Dust’

Swedish Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling artist Tove Lo has officially entered the “Lady Wood” era with the worldwide release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album, and the debut of her short film “Fairy Dust” which premiered at the release party at the Los Angeles’ in Hollywood. “Fairy Dust” – directed by Tim Erem is by far her most ambitious video project to date. Raw and bold, “Fairy Dust” stars Tove Lo alongside American actress, producer, director and activist Lina Esco (Kingdom, Flaked) and was co-written by her with director Tim Erem.

 Featuring five songs from Lady Wood, including the newly released track “True Disaster” along with “Influence,” “Lady Wood,” lead single “cool girl,” and “Vibes,” the 31-minute film can now be viewed online here.

“My short film about the never ending escape and all the rushes and pain that comes with it.” Explains Tove Lo. “I always dreamt about doing something like this, and that I get to share this with all of you now feels unreal.” On Friday, October 28th, Tove Lo celebrated the release of her highly anticipated album by premiering “Fairy Dust” — the brainchild of Tove Lo and Swedish director and co-writer Tim Erem — at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. 500 special guests joined to celebrate the release, premiere and Tove Lo’s birthday by drinking cocktails under the stars at Tove’s own Carnival Rave which featured a silent disco ferris wheel, dry slide, black light body dips, a contortionist, and many more fun festivities for guests to enjoy. Notable guests who joined in on the fun included best friends Icona Pop, plus Erik Hassle, Bonnie McKee, Kate Nash, members of Maroon 5, Citizen Four, and many, many more.
