Berlin based Swedish lo-fi pop, indie, singer/songwriter, Adna, is back with her second installation of sizzle with her new single ‘Thoughts’. Set to be released on January 20th, ‘Thoughts’ is a follow-up to her last single ‘Overthinking’. And is a precursor to her third LP ‘Closure’ which will be hitting stands this March.
In this single we hear Adna dig deeper into her past and her own darkness than ever before: “I wrote this when I was 16 as some kind of declaration of love to the place where I have my roots. Despite all the sorrow and the melancholy, it’s the most beautiful place I know about. And I wanted to make this song again, because it feels important to also see and think of the beauty in the things that otherwise are shown as something sorrowfully.” – Adna about Thoughts
Previously compared to artists such as Bon Iver & Daughter, Adna, confidently finds a place of her own dwelling in intricate melancholy, and succulent acoustic sounds. Listening to ‘Thoughts’ is like taking a look into a musicians internal and intimate sphere. A place where stories unfold and emotion weighs-in.
