Track Premiere: Liam Mour – ‘Pure Puma’

Berlin-based artist Liam Mour drops a new jungle-laced single ‘Pure Puma’ in a lead-up to his new EP Angel High. Speaking on the new single, Liam states: “I was on a road trip to Joshua Tree Nationalpark in California recently when a puma suddenly crossed the road in front of our car and we nearly hit it. This song captures that exact moment and instantly came to my mind.“ Liam’s 2020 release ‘Love’, is a dance track flavoured with mid-eastern instruments and has since received over 3 million streams since its release on Spotify alone. In contrast, ‘Pure Puma’ brings a new style of dance energy and is set to resonate amongst festivals this summer.

Encapsulating a vividly cinematic, mostly analogue sound, Mour pitches between Ambient, Electronica and indie electronic, producing a trajectory that sits alongside his contemporaries Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm, Aphex Twin, and Four Tet. His enigmatic and ruthlessly creative live performances resulted in a sold-out home performance at legendary Berlin institution Funkhaus.
