“Very, Very Well” is a project that explores the idea of toxic wellness and its superficiality. In today’s world, wellness has become more of a trend than a genuine state of being—something everyone is expected to embody. As a result, people often feign well-being, masking their true emotions behind exaggerated appearances. Overdressed outfits, dramatic makeup, and surface-level relationships create an illusion of perfection, turning individuals into doll-like figures—always smiling, always pristine, yet concealing everything beneath the surface. This shoot embodies that aesthetic: a wellness of the exterior that disguises the reality within.
