Reflecting on his new single, Luke shares, “‘Do I Wanna?’ took shape over two years during my travels in New Zealand, evolving. Each person can find something unique in it, as we all bear our scars and longings from the past. At its core, the song grapples with the struggle of letting go, witnessing days, months, and years slip by without significant change. This leads to the ultimate question: Do we want to live such a life?”

Collaborating with Stefan Kraupner—who is not only a talented photographer but also a good friend of Luke— the video captures the raw beauty of the landscape alongside the emotional depth of the song. Its intimate and minimalistic production, realized with just the two of them, aligns seamlessly with the project’s impressionistic vibe.
In a twist of fate, Luke found himself navigating the surreal experience of recording his debut album with none other than Chris Maas, the acclaimed drummer known for his collaborations with Sting, Mumford & Sons, and Maggie Rogers. “Working with Chris was a dream come true, and the album would not be what it is now without his influence,” the 26-year-old singer-songwriter reflects on their transformative week-long recording session.
