The enigmatic producer and songwriter known as Other reveals his first video for the haunting new single ‘Wings’. Featuring vocals from the talented Madi Walsh, the track follows the success of Other’s singles ‘Down’ and ‘Missing’, released earlier in 2018. The young artist has kept things fairly mysterious in the early part of his career, but his streaming success has been anything but a mystery. In a short period of time, he has amassed over 4.7 million streams on YouTube and nearly 3 million streams on Spotify. Other expands on the track saying, “The present presence of light frees us of all hurt and fear. The future can fly on the wings of light. In the present, one is whole.” Director Brume continues to keep things cryptic with their Lynchian style video emphasising love and loss as the camera cuts between past and present, making use of flickering neon lights and lingering clouds of smoke.
Director Brume says, “I’ve always been fascinated with the transformational power of water and wanted to incorporate a theme of fluidity to the story of ‘Wings.’ To me, ‘Wings’ is about reflection and allowing someone to see a different version of themselves through you.” – Brume
