Video Premiere: RADØUX – Red Wine

I adore RADØUX and his music!!! it is my pleasure to introduce you to the new single and video “Red Wine” by the 23-year-old singer, songwriter and producer. RADØUX is one of the most promising musical newcomers from Berlin.

He grew up in a Franco-German household with music by Kate Bush, Serge Gainsbourg, David Bowie, Edith Piaf and Madonna, who inspired him musically and artistically. RADØUX makes catchy pop music, which, however, moves away from the mainstream and is very original.

Stylistically, he combines melancholic piano chords with hip-hop beats and captivating synths reminiscent of the glamour of the 80s. This mix is carried by RADØUX’s deep, velvety, comfortably enveloping voice. In doing so, he clearly stands out from what is currently happening in German pop music.

Today RADØUX’s new single “Red Wine” is released, which comes with a lot of drive and great catchy tune potential. The song describes how RADØUX prepares for a night out, but then decides to stay home alone, drinking red wine and dancing.

In this drunken one-man party, he experiences an ambivalence of healthy self-confidence and independence as well as nagging self-doubt. This area of tension is further reinforced by the bilingualism English-French. Musically, this setting is implemented in a rousing firework display of a driving bass line, a danceable beat and lush synthesizers.

“Red Wine” may seem carefree when first listened to, but reveals deeper facets on repeated listens. This makes you curious for more and you can look forward to his EP, which will be released at the end of the year.
