KALTBLUT presents: Woman. Life. Freedom For this forceful editorial, empowering jewellery designer Luise Zücker and feminist nightlife photographer Kristina Kast collaborated with Iranian singer Faravaz. In this emotional and deeply symbolic shoot, the words “Woman, Life, Freedom” were projected onto Faravaz’s bare skin.
Wrapped only by a hair—hair she cannot show freely in her home country—this powerful imagery embodies a message of courage, hope, and the relentless pursuit of justice. Faravaz’s work sheds light on the struggles faced by women in Iran, where singing as a woman is forbidden. The message is to transform pain into power, oppression into art, and silence into a voice that resonates far beyond borders as a celebration of female empowerment.
In a world where the female form is often seen as an object of control and oppression, Faravaz’s body becomes a canvas of freedom. The words “Woman, Life, Freedom” are more than just a slogan and the name of her new musical release. Every letter and every line serves as a reminder that the female body must not be a prison but a symbol of self-determination and liberation.
Faravaz’s journey from underground singer in Tehran to activist in exile is reflected in every image, showing her strength and resilience. With her debut album “Azadi” dropping on May 11, 2025, with a release concert at club So36 in Berlin, she continues to inspire the world, using her body as a canvas of freedom and her voice as a weapon of resistance.
