Returning to the village every summer is reliving glances, tradition and soul. It’s like time travel. Hard work. Men and women, hardened by the earth, the sun and the water, mixed with nature, the stillness of the countryside, sounds and often silence.

My grandfather was very important to me, he has always been an inspiration so this collection contains in detail all my admiration for his culture.
Casarello is a collection loaded with connotations, but always within a family context. A tribute to brotherly love, sacrifice, character and soul of a time that will never cease to exist for us.
Photographer and filmmaker Ester G. Mera joined designer María Fall to create this multidisciplinary project. Made in Galicia about Galicia, for Galicians.
Ester G. Mera was raised on the west coast but currently, she is based in Barcelona, where she studied a master’s degree in Film Directing at ESCAC. She is a member of the Academia Galega do Audiovisual and a film critic in A Cuarta Parede, the first digital magazine in the Galician language about cinema. She had directed various short films, fashion films, video clips and a video-essay. Currently, her last projects are being distributed in film festivals.
