Opening today alongside POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair, FASHION POSITIONS 2026 returns to Hangar 5 & 6 at the historic Flughafen Tempelhof. From September 10 to 13, the platform brings together 22 independent labels that challenge and expand how fashion is conceived, produced, and experienced today.
Rather than relying on classic runway formats, FASHION POSITIONS treats fashion as an autonomous artistic discipline. Here, garments and textiles function as spatial installations, sculpted objects, and socio-political statements within an open architecture designed for direct dialogue between designers, industry voices, and visitors.
Curated for the second consecutive year by Diandra Donecker (Villa Grisebach) and fashion journalist Dao Tran, the 2026 selection avoids rigid categorisation, prioritising structural autonomy, experimental materials, and precise craftsmanship. Visitors can also directly support the participating talents via the adjacent FASHION POSITIONS SHOP, purchasing pieces on-site throughout the fair.
To celebrate today’s opening, we are premiering an editorial lensed inside the storied halls of Villa Grisebach, bringing together pieces from all 22 participating designers into a unified visual narrative.
