H&Mbeyond. Teams Up With Revibe For A 100% Upcycled Capsule Collection

REVIBE is proud to announce its latest collaboration with H&Mbeyond., H&M’s Innovation Hub, to launch an exclusive upcycling collection. This innovative partnership brings together two key players in the fashion industry to tackle the potential of sustainable re-design and upcycling. The upcycling collection features a range of unique designs and styles that showcase creativity and talent. Each piece has been carefully crafted with a focus on sustainability using a combination of cutting-edge techniques and traditional craftsmanship.

With this collection inspired by street culture, H&Mbeyond. and REVIBE collectively aim to empower young designers from across Europe to build the future of upcycling fashion.

“We are super excited about this small but powerful collaboration with REVIBE. With this pilot, we aim to gain valuable insights and learnings about the desirability and viability of upcycled fashion. I applaud REVIBE’s commitment to building a community of designers and creators with unique creativity and craftsmanship. I can’t wait to see what the future of fashion holds with more young talents like them leading the way.” says Oliver Lange, Head of H&Mbeyond.

As part of this collaboration, REVIBE coordinated the entire project from A to Z. They opened their international community of emerging designers from the fashion industry, asking them the simple question: ‘How can an unused garment be transformed into a fashionable it-piece?’. “As experts in the upcycling market, REVIBE has the expertise to lead fashion brands in the transition to a circular design and production model. With the partnership with H&Mbeyond., our goal has been to give more visibility to the upcycling world. Because we are convinced that upcycling should become part of the strategy of every fashion brand.”- says Ettore Carfagnini, co-founder of REVIBE.

Designers Olli Hull, Shackled, and the duo of ÂGE Paris answered this call with individual re-designs made of unique craftsmanship, passion and creativity. ÂGE Paris, the young brand from Paris that reworks high-quality vintage garments with a mastered French savoir-faire, transformed the shirts into elegant looks composed of cropped laced shirts and casual shorts. The Spanish brand Shackled chose a bolder, more Y2K-inspired look for the shirts by making them into puffed shopper bags and cargo skirts, with added elastic bands and pockets. And last but not least, Olli Hull embraced his beloved themes of dream, queerness and love for creativity by painting his vision directly on the shirts and transforming them into true canvases for expression.

After a three-month process, from stock assessment to final production, the three emerging designers were able to upcycle the returned shirts into whole new garments, with the intention of being as inclusive as possible: it will feature sizes ranging from XXS (32) to XXL (52), with relatively accessible pricing (40€ to 80€).

The baseline for the collection has been 100 basic H&M YOURS men’s shirts made from 100% certified organic cotton in the colours white, white dotted, blue, black and grey. The high-quality shirts were in perfect condition but, as custom-sized ‘returns’, not suitable for resale. The designers were given full freedom in creating their collections, still following REVIBE’s directions. H&Mbeyond. sponsored entirely the production, while all proceeds will go to REVIBE and their designers.
