What if the conservative panic is right, and trans people are the villains? That is the brilliantly sharp, satirical premise that fuels The Marvelous Miss Gender, the brand-new solo narrative theatrical comedy from global drag icon Bosco. Kicking off this summer from July 8th to August 16th, RuPaul’s Drag Race all-star and self-proclaimed “God’s favourite transsexual” is hitting the road for an extensive 33-city tour across the United States.

Written, directed, and co-produced by Bosco herself, The Marvelous Miss Gender marks her first-ever full-length solo touring production. It is a highly anticipated project that introduces audiences to her formidable supervillain alter ego, Miss Gender. Rather than shying away from the intense socio-political landscape and the daily media scrutiny surrounding trans lives, Bosco flips the narrative on its head. She leans directly into the “queer-coded villain” trope to deliver something liberating, hilarious, and deeply needed.
“Miss Gender is trying to spread her gender agenda by making the entire world trans,” Bosco explains. “It’s me telling all the conservatives that they’re right to be afraid of us, and we are coming to take over the world. I feel like we all wake up each day. We see about 20 different news articles about trans people losing their rights, so rather than make something morose about that, I thought it’d be more fun and interesting and uplifting for me to poke holes in it, to make fun of it, to lean into it, and just kind of accept the title of villain.”
This two-act musical lip-sync comedy draws heavy inspiration from the dark, stylised worlds of Batman: The Animated Series, the slick violence of Kill Bill, the glamour-ghoul camp of Elvira, and the technicolour chaos of Pee-wee’s Playhouse. Audiences stepping into Miss Gender’s lair can expect a seamless blend of comic book noir, high-fashion, burlesque, stand-up comedy, and immersive practical effects. In a digital world dominated by algorithms, Bosco has built a production dedicated to physical media, forced-perspective sets, giant props, and old-school analogue theatre magic.
At KALTBLUT., we believe that art is one of our most vital arenas for resistance, and supporting our trans siblings is more crucial now than ever. Beyond the laughter and the incredible showgirlship, attending shows like The Marvelous Miss Gender is a direct act of solidarity. It is a way to celebrate trans joy, fund trans artists, and stand firmly with a community that continues to fight for its right to exist safely and fully.
For our readers across the Atlantic, this 33-city U.S. tour is an absolute must-see cultural event of the summer. Whether you catch her in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Austin, Bosco’s signature wit and unfiltered stage presence are guaranteed to leave you entirely breathless.
