Aida Almacellas is a Spanish artist, recently graduated in Fashion Design, based in Barcelona. She is focused on creating an imaginary of prints that transcript the impact of his childhood memories colliding with his current reality and beliefs. Influenced by different kitsch visual references, Aida is interested in narrating the clash between innocence and perversion. The concept associated with forgetting and the emotional value of all of our most cherished objects from childhood will develop a different meaning when colliding with our adulthood. “I used to love you, now you are only 25 cents” presents a critical thought about growing old and how we treasure our most valuable memories from the past.
Aida Almacellas has teamed up with the argentine photographer and visual artist Carla Di Girolamo to recreate this universe full of psychedelia and distortion. There, the most beloved toys from their younger age coexist with the evolution of their reality as they have grown old.

Carla Di Girolamo is a young talented photographer and visual artist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is currently based in Barcelona and works his pictures in a unique way, giving through his postproduction process an oneiric and psychedelic atmosphere that is already outstanding on the local scene.
