I live here in the city for 16 years now and have witnessed the rise of a beautiful city during the last few years. People are coming and going. Berlin is offering so much space to discover. Here are my favourite spots in town.

1. Café Suicide Sue

Suicide Sue is an amazing little cafe in Prenzlauerberg. Home made bread and cakes. Go there and try the chocolate cake. Hmmmmm!!! Dunckerstraße 2, 10437 Berlin

2. Silo Coffee

Whenever we are in Friedrichshain we stop at Silo Coffee. They may have the best coffee in town. Love that place. It can be found on  Gabriel-Max-Straße 4, 10245 Berlin

Konk exists since 2003. Konk is a real institution in Berlin for independent Berlin Fashion Design. It is all about local designers who design and produce as well locally and fair.The designers are following their own style, creative, visionary, avangardistic and without this permanent view on trend. Soto is a menswear store that opened its doors on Berlin’s Torstrasse in April 2010. Founded by Philip Gaedicke, Omer Ben-Michael and David Fischer, all veterans in the menswear, fashion and media landscape, the goal for SOTO has always been to present a modern take on how a man should dress to the Berlin customer. SOTO presents a wild mix of American, European and Asian designers, allowing you to dress up, dress down and pretty much get the best that is out there for any occasion.

Urban Spee Galerie is a Berlin based, 400 qm independent contemporary gallery. Set up in a vast postindustrial compound, the gallery defends an artistic grassroots approach, directed towards cities, street & graffiti artists, photographers and contemporary artists.  On top of its own programming, Urban Spree can accommodate any types of events, indoor and outdoor, due its large and versatile offer: a 400 sqm gallery space for artistic and corporate events, screenings, workshops, pop up restaurants; a 900 qm designed Biergarten to showcase fashion defiles, pop up food & beverage performances, artistic/team building workshops, wine tasting, open-air events; a residency program for artists; a book and print shop, a bar/concert room, all in a mix of design & alternative styles.

Formerly housed inside a beautiful main post office (Postfuhramt), Berlin’s predominant photographic and visual arts space is nowadays in the West; Charlottenburg to be precise. With a heavyweight exhibition history (Annie Liebowitz, Gregory Crewdson, Robert Mapplethorpe), the space now inhabits the historic Amerika Haus.
