Following its run in Paris, the exhibition will embark on a tour, gracing the Triennale Milano in Spring 2024, thus bringing Teller’s extraordinary talent to a global audience.

Over the years, Teller’s artistic journey has taken him far beyond traditional photography, delving into the depths of personal introspection. His exploration of topics such as origin, family, identity, and self have resulted in deeply personal and intimate collections. In recent times, Teller has collaborated with his spouse, Dovile Drizyte, on joint projects that reflect the various dimensions of their marriage, love, and parenthood. These works seamlessly blend somber, personal narratives with occasional bursts of hilarity, all rendered with a captivatingly grotesque twist.

The title of the exhibition, “i need to live,” encapsulates Teller’s response to the existential events that have shaped his life, often with tragic consequences. Teller tackles these subjects head-on, employing a straightforward and wholly original style, much like his photography. Through his work, he emphasizes the significance of life and the fleeting nature of human existence, employing his distinctive visual language to provoke thought and introspection.

In conjunction with the exhibition, an exclusive lifestyle line has been created collaboratively by Anthony Vaccarello and Juergen Teller. This unique collection features vinyl records, home goods, ornamental items, apparel, and accessories, all adorned with captivating images of the artists. Additionally, Teller takes the opportunity to curate a selection of important magazines, showcasing them in a special cultural space, giving visitors a deeper understanding of his influences and inspirations.
