King Krule and The Space Between Us Listen to “Space Heavy”: A Sonic Revolution

King Krule’s latest work is as haunting as it is beautiful. “Space Heavy” is their critically-acclaimed, fourth studio album; it comes together like a euphoric soundscape, and pushes the boundaries of genre. Archy Ivan Marshall, better known as King Krule, isn’t just another singer-songwriter, he’s been established as one of the most original voices of our generation, and a rare British talent that’s taken the music scene by storm.

Lucky souls gathered at Columbiahalle in Berlin to witness King Krule’s raw and captivating stage presence. Hearing “Space Heavy” live was nothing short of magical. There’s an indescribable aura, and collective energy on stage that transcends the emotional depth of the album. The crowd was blown away by the performance, and the stage design added an extra layer of beauty and melancholy.

Archy’s music possesses a hypnotic quality, with a unique style and chord progressions that set him apart. The group ‘oozes’ music from their soul, and always stays true to their craft. The saxophonist? A killer. The crowd at the show? True music aficionados who get it on a spiritual level. It was palpable in the room, and one thing’s for certain. King Krule isn’t just hypnotic; it’s a full-blown trance.

“Space Heavy” is a paradigm shift: a critically acclaimed 15-track odyssey through Archy’s sonic universe, carefully forged over his career as King Krule. Penned during the commutes between London and Liverpool from 2020 to 2022, this is “the space between” incarnate. A space haunted by dreams of love, and lost connections.

The album launch was preluded by acclaimed singles like “Seaforth,” “If Only It Was Warmth,” and recent hit “Flimsier.” It’s the brainchild of Archy and frequent collaborator, Dilip Harris, and his bandmates: Ignacio Salvadores (Saxophonist), George Bass (Drummer), James Wilson (Bass Guitarist), and Jack Towell (Guitarist).
