Creative Director Andreas Aresti delves deep, challenging the archaic narrative of the American dream – a concept once collective, now fragmented into highly personalized quests. The essence of Americana is in flux—a home soil that tugs the heartstrings with pride yet pulls the mind into a sobering reality check.
Moving past the glory of “America the Great,” F/W24 unapologetically embraces a sentiment of “Whatever” in its title, encapsulating a climate of indifference that permeates the country.
The assemblage is a defiant patchwork: genuine deer pelts, stark black leather ensembles, subversive patriotic camouflage, reinvented backless varsity jackets, and oversized shirts loudly declaring “loser” as a brazen badge of honour. F/W24 boldly reimagines the American archetype.
Delving into the roots of Lourdes, the label is a stronghold for hybridity, enveloping diverse cultural echoes and venerating femininity. At the heart of its inception is Andreas Aresti’s unique upbringing—navigating life in Queens, New York with a Greek-Cypriot father and a Peruvian mother. The namesake ‘Lourdes,’ a tribute to Aresti’s mother, is more than a brand—it’s a narrative steeped in the immigrant family experience.
