A KALTBLUT exclusive. Paris-based creative Mohsen Othman is known for his instinctive, emotionally-driven visual language, merging fashion with atmosphere in ways that feel raw, immediate, and often unplanned. While visiting Berlin earlier this year, Othman stopped by the studio of Selva Huygens — the Berlin-based label known for its sculptural, industrial silhouettes and subversive edge. What started as a casual meetup quickly evolved into an impromptu shoot, driven by the energy of the space and the brutal beauty of the designs. “It wasn’t planned, but the moment felt right. The pieces were powerful, and the vibe was already there,” says Othman.
Adding to the backdrop, Lady Gaga’s latest album, Myham, had just come out that week, subtly shaping the mood of the shoot. The resulting images feel like a dream in ruins, a figure wrapped in dresses made from car parts, angelic yet wrecked. In some frames, she’s masked in glass, in others, she’s collapsed on the floor like a crash site frozen in time.
Metal Halo is a visual reaction to the space, the music, and the materials. A spontaneous editorial that captures the tension between sculpture and softness, elegance and aftermath.
