Welcoming us into a new year of KALTBLUT mixtapes is multidisciplinary artist CRRDR! Currently based in Bogota, Corredor/CRRDR is known for creating electrifying atmospheres by blending Latin sounds with electronic and rave music. Over the years, CRRDR has collaborated with local and international labels, sharing the diverse elements of electronic music, from ambient to tek, while always infusing a Latin touch.
This mix is a fusion of Latin Core music and Latin Tek into club atmospheres, showing off this emerging genre through one of the pioneers of this music, selecting several latin american artists with other club and techno sounds.
Having toured Latin America and Europe, delving into the essence of Latin Core and Latin Tek, CRRDR concluded 2023 with the release of RIP Latin Core 2k24 on 12th December. This emotional and transcendental release comes after the artist’s track ‘Traaa’ was removed from digital platforms due to copyright reasons. The LP features 23 tracks of experimental brilliance, exploring Latin Core music through samples and edits of pop, salsa, cumbia, and reggaeton tracks. This fusion has significantly influenced global dancefloors in recent years.
RIP Latin Core 2K24 serves as a profound reflection on the past, present, and uncertain future. Through resampling and reinterpreting Latin American and pop music in a DIY format, CRRDR pioneers the new sounds of Latin fusion.
