#OneToWatch! KALTBLUT Magazine is introducing Reconstruct, a collective made out of 6 females. “This summer we graduated from our BA in fashion design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. During our study period the collective flourished. Parts of our creations are inspired by streetwear, music, world cultures, fairytales and the youth. We are 6 different designers with a variety of skills, visions and abilities, but we all share the same mindset.” That said we are showing an editorial lensed by by Zara Asmail (Reconstruct). “Over the past years we all specialized in unisex design, we were all inspired
by the today’s/upcoming generation of some sort. Reconstruct creates extravagant art pieced clothing that can be worn on a daily basis. The pieces are shaped to tell unheard of stories. By bringing back the craft into the designs in a modern way, high quality garments are created.
The collection is crossing the boundaries of materials with innovative skills and manipulations. The pieces are created by going in against today’s system by questioning the ways of the fashion industry and media output. Given the fact that internet is the source for the younger generation.”

“Reconstruct set-up a complete graduate fashion show, all aspects were included. We just exhibited at Blueprint at the Dutch Design week in Eindhoven. Next step is our new collection RE by RECONSTRUCT which will be shown at Amsterdam Fashion week January the 29th.”
