“This editorial is centred around my personal relationship with COMME des GARÇONS, not simply as a fashion house, but as a philosophy and a way of understanding the world. There is something deeply personal about wearing COMME des GARÇONS. The construction, the distortion, the refusal to conform, it all mirrors an internal landscape. Rei Kawakubo’s vision has always questioned conventional beauty, proportion, and expectation. Through asymmetry, deconstruction, and conceptual layering, the clothing becomes more than fabric; it becomes conversation.
Each garment worn in this project is sourced from my personal archive of COMME des GARÇONS, and by extension, Junya Watanabe and NOIR Kei Ninomiya pieces. Each piece has entered my wardrobe because it moved and challenged me. They articulated something I could not put into words myself. This project is not about showcasing fashion in a conventional sense. It is about documenting a relationship between the self and the garments, unveiling its inherent vulnerability but also strength.”
