Gustavo Chams is a queer Brazilian photographer based on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Sel̓íl̓witulh Nations—Vancouver, Canada
Born into a multicultural and multiethnic family in São Paulo, Brazil, he saw at an early age, the ethical struggles, minority misrepresentations and political problems of a post-colonized country. Gustavo holds an undergrad diploma for Graphic Design from the Visual College of Art and Design in Vancouver and has launched an international career which has included working in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Vancouver.
