Track Premiere: The Ghost of Helags – ‘Anthem’ (We Came From The Stars)

Introverted Scandis The Ghost of Helags follow up ‘Wildest Dreams’ with the euphoric ‘Anthem’ (We Came From The Stars), to be released February 2nd via AWAL. The second part of the electropop duo’s double A-Side single release, ‘Anthem’ focuses on their adoptive hometown Berlin. The uplifting song honours the German urban sanctuary where numerous artists, dropouts, and ghosts came in search of their Northern star. Loaded with dream-pop and trance elements, ‘Anthem’ is the mysterious marriage of despair and hope.

The Ghost of Helags: a shy Scandinavian electronica-pop duo, filtered through Berlin grit. Everything started on top of The Mountains of Helags, located on the border between Sweden and Norway, where a paranormal experience led them to start making music. The duo is the meeting of a singer and a producer who has previously worked with big acts in the past. As a band, they are very quiet, introverted and shy. They never speak on stage. Instead, they choose to communicate with the audience through dance and body language. Their preference for solitude also drove them to record their previous single in a cabin, lost in the wild nature of Sweden.

The Ghost of Helags have just signed to KOBALT’s streaming label AWAL. They are with the publishing company Misty Music, home of Fever Ray and Anna Von Hausswolff.
