Video Premiere: Lasse Matthiessen – Dreams Don’t Make Noise

Danish electro poet, Lasse Matthiessen is releasing the anthemic track “Dreams Don’t Make Noise” as the final single ahead of his eponymous album, out November 4, both via Zpektakel Records.

The Dane built up the suspense perfectly: The previous singles by Lasse Matthiessen, “Emotional” and “Ocean”, illustrated his transformation from indie folkie to electro musician, who oscillates between club sound and cinematic pop.

“Dreams Don’t Make Noise” is the unmistakable highlight of the forthcoming album of the same name, a hymn-like song that best combines Dane’s virtues: Matthiessen creates lyrical images with a clear visual language and fills his tableaus vivant with emotions that are his own touch soul.

“Her skin is white, for she has sucked the light out of the day. She glows like the full moon in the night. It makes your heart glow. We drank from the sweet red wine made from the fruit from the fields outside, served in dark green bottles. It made your heart glow.”

Lasse Matthiessen reinvents himself – from a singer-songwriter who could well have followed in the footsteps of Nick Drake, the Dane transforms himself into an organic electro-indie-pop act, painting scenes of urban and intimate moments with his remarkable and deep voice. With his upcoming new album „Dreams Don’t Make Noise“, he deliberately crosses the border to electronica. He composes shimmering indie-pop with organic synths, electronic beats and velvety bass that lives and dances in the nighttime streets of Europe.
