Today marks a monumental release as Danish synth-pop sister duo PRISMA unveils their much-anticipated debut album “Something To Respond To.” Celebrating this pivotal moment, they also dropped the official video for their focus track “Lost,” featuring none other than the iconic Danish actress Trine Dyrholm.

The narrative of the video weaves through the journey of a group of children comforting their mother, portrayed by Dyrholm, as she navigates through a tumultuous ordeal. Dyrholm, a revered figure in Danish cinema globally recognized for her role in “König” and adorned with multiple Danish and international film awards, amplifies the emotional gravity of the visual story.

As we traverse through periods of war, political and economic instability, and an enduringly pained natural world, everything can feel overwhelmingly uncertain and complex. Yet amongst the youth, conversations have taken a turn towards depth, significance, and authenticity. It is against this backdrop of turmoil that a fresh troupe of music has emerged from the creative camaraderie of sisters Sirid and Frida Møl Kristensen. PRISMA’s oeuvre presents 11 audacious tracks steeped in themes of identity, bravery, wonder, and above all, a rekindling of belief in the prospect of a brighter tomorrow. PRISMA mirrors the cutting-edge, multi-hued definition their name suggests—multicoloured noise-pop that’s a rebirth of New Rave intertwined with celestial vocal harmonies laid over a haze of fuzzy electric guitars!

“The different states we wanted to portray resonate with the album’s genesis. Through alternating soundscapes and tempos, each song blossoms into a private vignette—an audacious or personal missive to an anonymous receiver. They are fragments of raw emotion, impulsive reflections, and intuitive glimpses. Simultaneously, the album adheres to a uniting chant; every surge and vibration intricately intertwines with the larger ecosystem, impacting our collective existence. It’s a narrative that’s both intricate and unequivocally straightforward,” share Sirid and Frida about “Something To Respond To.”
