Berlin Illustrator Launches Art Platform & ‘CocksOccur’ Teeshirt Series

Matthias Seifarth’s work holds up a critical mirror to today’s society. Often gracing the pages of DIE ZEIT, Rollingstone, Aftenposten, brandeins & DUMMY Magazine amongst others, his images transfer a disquieting social commentary, dancing on the thin lines between provocation and protest. See examples here.

AN EXCLUSIVE RANGE OF HANDPRINTED ORGANIC TEES, COMPLETE WITH COCKY MOTIFS, IS AVAILABLE HERE

On December 1st, Seifarth launched Casa Matze, a website featuring selected artworks as large and screen prints, available both framed and unframed. To mark the occasion comes CocksOccur; a limited series of teeshirts displaying quirky, cocky motifs. In stark contrast to his often politically charged illustrations, the handprinted, organic, heavy cotton tees offer minor respite to an increasingly bleak world. Quite literally, CocksOccur. Seifarth had this to say:

It’s been a tough few years, and most of us have struggled in some capacity. The constant negativity can really impact our mental health, and designing these tees has been a great distraction. My sole objective was to create something that makes people smile. We definitely need more of that.
