A few days ago, my heart truly stopped when my favourite German music producer team, KitschKrieg, announced a new single featuring Germany’s rising gay icon, rapper Baran Kok. I absolutely love the track; it’s vibrant, electrifying, and definitely a hit!

The new single, Big Dick Energy, premiered this week, and it’s a fantastic addition to the KitschKrieg legacy. Over the past few years, KitschKrieg has undergone a significant transformation, consistently pushing the boundaries of music while maintaining a strong connection to its roots. The duo, Fizzle and Fiji Kris, took their talents to the USA in 2023, aiming to make waves on a larger stage. Their ventures partnered with artists like Future and Mariah The Scientist mark their establishment as international producers, bringing their Berlin essence to the global scene.

This latest musical offering features an evolving electronic sound that freshly reimagines the KitschKrieg vibe. The signature elements are all present: vibrant synths, moody undertones, and a mix of melancholic chords with hard-hitting drums that create a tapestry of radical punchline poetry. The rhythm is infectious, inviting listeners to lose themselves in the four-to-the-floor beats that urge us to dance.

Inspired by a blend of Kraftwerk and the nightlife allure of Berlin, “Big Dick Energy” celebrates an emerging voice in the German music scene: BARAN KOK. The upcoming album features a new generation that grew up on KitschKrieg’s earlier work, influenced by iconic tracks that transformed their perception of German music. Now, these artists collaborate with their musical inspirations, creating something incredibly rare amid a formula-driven industry: a reinvented sound that opens our minds and showcases the limitless potential of creativity.

Lyrically, the album presents themes of interpersonal ambivalence, capturing the intense heat of fleeting moments against the cold backdrop of modern life. With twelve tracks and an introduction, the album features surprising artist combinations and well-crafted solo songs that break the mould. The tracks flow seamlessly into one another, culminating in a final song featuring Blumengarten and Shirin David, all wrapped up in the message. No matter what the world says, you are enough.

In addition to the vibrant audio experience, KitschKrieg Zwei is presented as a visual album — a continuous performance film that blends the worlds of content creation and artistic experimentation. The minimalist yet striking visual setting centres around the awe-inspiring Killasan Soundsystem, reminiscent of their first album debut in Berlin’s König Galerie. KitschKrieg emphasises that a sound system embodies the history and soul of electronic club music, creating a space where artists from various backgrounds come together to contribute to a collective artistic vision.

With a concept beautifully executed in collaboration with designer Clemens Löffelholz, KitschKrieg Zwei brings their foundational idea to life visually. It’s all about collaboration with the best, pushing towards a shared goal of artistic essence.

Next stop, Berlin! KitschKrieg Zwei has arrived, and with it, Baran shines like never before. Don’t miss out on this exhilarating artistic journey!
